Hi, this is Dr. Tripthi Shetty, and welcome to Modern Dental Studio.
What is the process of Invisalign®?
The process involving Invisalign® or Candid aligners or any aligner therapy. The first is a consult.
The consult is to visualize and look at your teeth and skeletal structure, which is the foundation of your treatment planning.
Sometimes with Invisalign®, just aligning teeth is not enough; you have to expand either the upper or lower arch, whichever is compromised. That also helps with your airway, so it’s a good thing.
We take the X-rays, take some clinical pictures, note down some questions and answers, and get back to you in a week or so.
What is the next step in the process?
The next process is once you accept the treatment plan, we send it to Invisalign®, and within three weeks or so, Invisalign® sends in the aligners, and you’re all set with the treatment.
We will place the attachments and give you a few aligners on the first visit. You don’t have to see me that often once you understand how the aligners work.
You only take it out when you’re eating something. You wear it 24/7 while in treatment once you understand, you don’t need to see me. I see patients once in two months or whenever we need the adjustments.
