Patients worried about their smiles’ alignment will want to work with our team of professionals to ask about orthodontic treatment. At Modern Dental Studio, our team is pleased to offer a variety of options for patients to choose from. East Brunswick, New Jersey area patients are welcome to consult with Dr. Tripthi Shetty to learn more about the types of orthodontic treatments available.

Types of braces available at Modern Dental Studio

  • Traditional metal braces. For patients with moderate to severe misalignment of the teeth, traditional metal braces are still the way to go! With metal brackets glued to the teeth and connecting wires, the teeth can be moved in the direction needed to remove gaps between the teeth, turn crooked teeth, and improve the alignment of the bite.
  • Six Month Smiles. For patients who need minor adjustments, specifically the teeth near the front of the smile, Six Month Smiles is a solution they may want to consider. Six Month Smiles uses tooth-colored brackets and wires to move the front teeth. Because it focuses on the front of the smile, movement happens quickly, and most patients can expect to have their braces in place for six months.
  • Invisalign. Mild to moderate malocclusion can be addressed with Invisalign orthodontics. Invisalign works without brackets and wires and instead uses clear plastic aligner trays that are custom-made for the patient and worn daily to move the teeth within the smile. Invisalign treatments often take about one year to complete and allow patients to remove their appliances for eating, brushing, and flossing. It is often the “clear” choice for teenagers and adults seeking a more discreet alternative to traditional braces or Six Month Smiles.
